To: The Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP and Mr Peter Rowley - State Transit Authority NSW

School bus route - Artarmon to the Forest area

We would like State Transit to supply a dedicated School Bus route - from Artarmon to Forestville/Belrose - for the families who live in or near the Willoughby electorate whose children attend schools in the Forest area (Forestville, Belrose etc.)

Why is this important?

The current options for our young children getting to and from school with public transport are unsuitable/non-existent.

Many of the children are too young (eg 5 and 6 years olds) to negotiate regular public transport on their own. In addition to having to cross busy roads without adult supervision to make connections or get to a bus stop, many would also need to negotiate busy interchanges such as changing from train to bus at Chatswood Station, etc.

There is a need for a safe public transport option.

How it will be delivered

We will either email the signatures or deliver them to Ms Berejiklian's office.

Reasons for signing

  • convenience for all
  • Good for students and less stress on families.
  • It is a safer option than current public transport, it would save me time. And less cars on the road, which is better for the environment.
