"NO" Boarding House in Woy Woy, 2256

Dear Gosford City Council,
Please STOP the application for a proposed sixteen (16) room Boarding House next door to a Nursing Home (Hammond Care - Woy Woy)
This development was rejected in Ettalong 3 months ago and now the site is proposed for a quiet cul-de-sac with barely any public transport or community services.

Why is this important?

1) The Boarding House is listed with 16 rooms (for up to 32 people)
2) Development application next to the aged care facility of Hammond Care - they accommodate dementia care residents.
3) Quiet Cul-de-sac location - with infrequent bus route.
4) Security and community safety risk - only one entry/exit point planned in a very small piece of land.

Reasons for signing

  • Its just not an appropriate area for this purpose. There're transport and support issues, as well as the undeniable flown effect of antisocial behaviour problems that these places DO result in. I also suspect it to be profit driven, rather than a well thought out solution to a growing problem of personal responsibility avoidance.
  • This is a residential area . Why not convert the old county council (electricity)building opposite Gosford council offices to a boarding house. It has everything required close to shops, rail transport and the police station
  • Concern for the elderly residents nearby
