Aboriginal Land and Fire management task force.

Aboriginal Land and Fire management task force.

To consult with members of the aboriginal community on land management and back burning. To put together a national task force of first nation people to work with the current fire management teams to minimise the effects of fire.

Why is this important?

The aboriginal community understand this land. While our fire and land management practices may be sufficient they could be better. For the sake of the community, our flora and fauna it would be of benefit to work with the first nation people to see if we could improve our practices.

Reasons for signing

  • No one own the land really, but we are all a part of it. Australia is a unique land and for to long now we've been treating it like it's another land. Our country's original people know the land and we need to listen. Does have always ravage this land but poor original brothers and sisters need to be listened to, especially our elders. Enough red tape. Just listen and do
  • We need to come together with aboriginal people, I have a lot of respect for aboriginal people and their culture and think they know a lot more then us when it comes to the land. We should be learning from them.
